What To Expect

Phuket

We will pick you up from your hotel along Patong, Karon or Kata (other Phuket beaches and regions are subject to supplementary charges) and we head out to the boat pier. Once settled in, we will go through the dive gear (rental of the gear and tanks is included) as our vessel for the day will head out in the open sea. The sailing time from Phuket harbour to the base of Anemone Reef is approximately 1.5 hours one way. En route to the dive site, a freshly-cooked breakfast is served.

We drop anchor right near the descent point of Anemone Reef as we start to gear up and are ready to lower ourselves towards the ocean bottom. The reef, rising close to the surface, has gained name and fame for its exquisite coral beauty with plenty of clown fish navigating themselves through the corals and anemones. The somewhat craggy rock formations – like a submerged pinnacle - as the base for hundreds of anemones and various forms of soft corals are the ideal home for sea life such as aforementioned clown fish and gatherings of lion fish among other species. During the two dives included, we venture into all corners of the reef after carefully planning our dive with our dive master.

On various occasions, scuba divers have been fortunately enough to see barracuda, snappers and even turtles and sea snakes; the frequency of these sightings have made Anemone Reef one of the more popular sites for scuba diving day-trippers. A simple lunch is included on board.

In the afternoon, our captain sets course for mainland Phuket (around 1.5 hours back) and transfer you finally to your hotel along Patong, Karon and Kata Beach. We expect to pull up at the hotel at around 6 pm
